I’m an Irish writer, editor and artistic director living in Florence, Italy. This means that I have a day job and I write furiously in the time around it. In the last while, I’ve written a novel, taken a fancy to shorts (slivers of humour, the strange and the ridiculous of life), and done creativity interviews with fellow writers and artists.
I’m also Director of Florence Writers (part of St Mark’s Cultural Association) and co-editor of The Sigh Press Literary Journal, which gives me even less time to write because I love new projects and collaborations, such as setting up a writing residency with the Irish Writers Centre Dublin and organising the annual Florence Writers Publishing Day, where international agents, editors, and authors spill the beans on all things publishing.
I’m on Instagram @notionreel, if that floats your boat. There you’ll find things I like and photos from life in Italy and Ireland. I post regularly on the Interviews page, with author interviews, stories, essays and a Creativity Interview Series.
